When Alaska turns dangerous, hesitation is not an option. We train for the worst conditions, face the hardest terrain, and mitigate the risks for one reason: so someone else gets another chance to come home.

We are the Alaska Search and Rescue Emergency Response Team — we are a dedicated group that is here to serve our community and to our search and rescue subjects. While ASARERT was officially established in 2020, our team brings together years of combined experience in search and rescue operations in Alaska and beyond. 

We specialize in search management (directing the search using the resources available), emergent volunteer coordination, and rapid response (fast deployment of our team and available resources into the field), serving our local community and all over the vast regions of Alaska. From missing person searches to disaster response, we are committed to searching to bring people home with skill, knowledge, and professionalism. We deploy under the direction of any agency having jurisdiction managing emergencies and/or search and rescue.

At ASARERT, every mission reflects our core values: readiness, resilience, and a commitment. We believe behind every search or rescue is a family praying for a miracle. Our team trains, prepares, and responds for that moment - because in Alaska, survival often depends on who is willing to answer the call.
